3rd Grade enjoyed Chris Van Allsburg's The Polar Express read by Lou Diamond Phillips at Storyline Online and then imagined what it would be like if they were the ones chosen to get the first gift of Christmas. They then drew a picture in Tux Paint to illustrate their gift and then wrote a short story in Microsoft Word to go with their picture. After reviewing the Computer Lab Rules, 3rd grade started out the year by drawing their self portrait in KidPix. Once their portraits were done, they reviewed how to select fonts, change font sizes and colors, add pictures and add page borders in Microsoft Word and then wrote an acrostic poem to go with their self-portrait.
